Poetry and Conversations

Rhodes, Greece, 2011.

I miss you,
said she.
I am here,
said he.
Will you always?
asked she.
So long I am,
said he.

Read me a poem,
said she.
Here’s a sad poem,
said he.
A sad poem?
asked she.
For how I’d feel
when you fall asleep.

I wrote you a poem,
said she.
You are my poem,
said he.

Then,
I knew:

you were meant for me.
